The Independence Garden Club will host their annual plant sale at the First Presbyterian Church from 8am – 11am on Saturday, May 9th. Please enter at either the North or the West side of the building which is located at 115 6th Ave NW in Independence.

Members of the Quasqueton and Independence Garden Clubs and the Buchanan County Master Gardeners will be present at the Garden Gate Building during the Buchanan County Fair. The public is welcome to view area youth art work, and make entries for both the standard flower show and the photo contest, sponsored by the Buchanan County Fair. Foto Friends will assist with photo entries from 2pm – 6pm on Tuesday July 7th with judging to follow. The judged flower show will be open for viewing at 2pm on Wednesday July 8th. The Garden Gate Building will also be open Thursday July 8th – Saturday July 11th.from 12:30pm – 8:30pm.
